Since 2007, the Artscape Banner Program has transformed downtown Eagle River into a vibrant outdoor gallery each summer. Original artwork created by local and regional artists is displayed on banners lining Wall and Railroad Streets, bringing color, creativity, and community pride to our public spaces. Each piece is also featured in a free Walking Tour Brochure, inviting residents and visitors alike to explore the stories behind the art. Artists participate at no cost, and all original artwork is returned at the end of the season.
This program is made possible through the generous support of local sponsors, who not only help showcase these incredible works of art but also make a lasting impact on our community. Every June, the previous year’s banners are auctioned off at a lively and unforgettable event—with proceeds directly supporting downtown beautification efforts. These funds help maintain over 100 American flags, seasonal hanging baskets and planters, colorful flower-filled bikes, daily watering throughout the summer, and the care of municipal gardens that brighten Eagle River all season long.
